The parameter-level validation error is displayed for a workbook for any of the following:

  • The value entered for any parameter in an algorithm is in an incorrect format or data type.
  • The value for a parameter in an algorithm is not entered.
  • The value entered for any parameter in an algorithm is out of range.

To view parameter-level validation errors in a workbook when the data type of the value entered is incorrect, follow the steps given below.

  1. Perform steps 1 to 4 of Canvas-level Validation.
  2. Connect the algorithm and reader nodes.
  3. Click the algorithm to view the properties.
    Properties Pane is displayed.
  4. Select the dependent variables from the Dependent Variable drop-down.
  5. Select the independent variables from the Independent Variables drop-down and click Done.
  6. Enter the values for the different parameters or properties.
  7. Click Save on the Functions Pane.



    The workbook is saved.
  8. Click Validate.
    The Validation Errors window is displayed.
    The parameter-level validation error message is displayed as shown in the figure below0

    If the value entered for the parameter is out of range, the parameter-level validation error message is displayed as shown in the figure below.
